Custom iPhone/iPod dock with built-in speaker is functional art


For iPhone docks are evolving into more hi-tech and sophisticated devices year after year, so to see latest technologies being integrated into it should not be surprising. However, to see an iPod dock that is more of an art work than a sophisticated gadgetry would make all the Apple lovers crave for one. This handmade docking station designed by Kyle Buckner is made from materials like fiberglass, aluminum, wood and plastics. Featuring a built-in speaker along with four transducers, this iPhone dock has buttons placed on it to control volume and red LEDs to indicate when the power in on. Priced at $2599, this docking system is compatible with most docking versions of the iPhone and iPod, including iPod mini, iPod Photo and Video iPod, and comes with a mini jack connection to connect MP3 or CD players, desktop computers, satellite radio and laptops.
