Measuring 36 cm in height, weighing 6.175 kg and made of solid 18-carat gold with a base of semi-precious malachiteone, it’s one of the most sought-after prizes in all of sports – it’s the FIFA World Cup Trophy. First awarded in 1930, the trophy has been on a wild ride for 80 years, but Louis Vuitton has unveiled the travel case to safely hold the football’s greatest prize. Commissioned by FIFA, this special order case was handmade by Louis Vuitton’s master craftsman in a historic Asnières workshop near Paris. Featuring Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram canvas, the travel case is fitted with the company’s signature brass lock and corners and has a dark brown lining.
